Dr. Mike Venable

Dr. Mike Venable is a native of Church Point, Louisiana. After graduating from Notre Dame High School, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.   It was there that he met his wife Crystal, who is also a veterinarian. Together they traveled to beautiful island of Grenada to attend St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine, and completed clinical year at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Mike now lives back in Church Point with Crystal, their son Noah, and their 4 dogs and 2 cats. During his spare time, Dr. Mike enjoys playing golf (even though he is a terrible golfer), working out, cooking, and spending time with his family. Dr. Mike knows that in today’s busy world, it can be hard to make the time to get your beloved pets into the vet, and strives to remain on schedule (because no one likes waiting at the doctor’s office), while still giving each pet the time and attention they need. He will also discuss treatment options so that educated decisions can be made in the care of your pet that also fit your budget.

Dr. William Loftin, Jr.

Dr. Loftin is the owner of Parkway Animal Hospital in Youngsville, Louisiana and Parkway Animal Hospital in Broussard, Louisiana. Dr. Loftin earned his bachelor’s degree in animal science from Louisiana Tech University and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in 1995. William’s childhood experiences inspired him to become a veterinarian. William was born and raised in Delhi, Louisiana. Growing up in rural Louisiana, farm animals were part of every day life, particularly the quarter horses his father bred. Even as a young boy, he was taught to care for and nurture animals. William and his family live in Lafayette with an ever-changing menagerie of pets. He stays busy helping to homeschool his children. William is also an avid bass fisherman.

Dr. Lindsey Boudreaux

Dr. Lindsey Boudreaux was born and raised in Louisiana.  Shortly after graduating LSU Vet School in 2008, she moved to Los Angeles, California where she did a one year rotating specialty internship in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Surgery at Advanced Veterinary Care Center. After completing her internship working with small animals, she was then accepted to a Conservation and Wildlife Medicine internship in South Africa.

She spent two months gaining experience in conservation medicine and working with large exotics such as lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, along with several antelope species.  Once back in America, she became the wildlife veterinarian for the California Wildlife Center. As adventurous as her stint with wildlife of all sizes was, her true calling was emergency medicine.

She eventually transitioned back to the small animal world and since that time she has had the opportunity to practice emergency medicine in Florida, Alabama, New Orleans and is now back home in Lafayette. She is a full time associate emergency veterinarian at Lafayette Animal Emergency Clinic but also works relief at several day practices in the area including Parkway Animal Hospital. Her special interests include ophthalmology, cardiology, and radiology.

Dr. Mark Gentry

Dr. Mark Gentry knows the people and pets of Louisiana. He has practiced veterinary medicine in Lake Charles, Kinder, and Alexandria, as well as the Lafayette area. Dr. Gentry graduated from New Iberia Senior High in 1982 and LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. He resides in New Iberia with his wife and son. In his spare time, Dr. Gentry enjoys woodworking.

Dr. Corey Michel

Dr. Corey Michel is from Mansura, LA, located in central Louisiana. He achieved his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences with minors in chemistry and psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2013. After working with us for a year as a veterinary technician, he pursued his dream of becoming a veterinarian and graduated from Louisiana State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. He now lives in Lafayette with his adopted Siamese, Jett. Dr. Michel loves electronics and technology, ranging from computers, video games and 3D printing. He is also an avid reader, and he particularly enjoys caring for his vast collection of succulent plants.
